Inner Abyss

Through this painting I wanted to represent the theme of madness as a conflict between the real world and the inner world. The female figure at the center of the work is immersed in a negative thought that traps her, symbolically represented by water. This element transforms the familiar space of the room into a hostile, almost unreal environment. The girl is suspended between two dimensions: on one side, the tangibility of the room; on the other, her altered perception, as if she were truly drowning and suffocating in melancholy. The painting invites reflection on how, often, the real abyss is not outside but inside us, and how difficult it is to free oneself from it.
