    KIDS

KIDZ is born from the phrases that linger. Those spoken by those we love, those that shape you without asking for permission. I write them on the faces of children, because children do not pretend. They are pure truths, like life itself.

    A Portrait a Day

This is a collection that began in 2020, rooted in an interest in portraiture and all its manifestations between the figurative and the metaphysical.

I love drawing freely with the Pentel Fude, the Japanese brush pen. Drawing this way leaves no room for error; every stroke is sharp and indelible. The mark is gestural, impulsive. The subsequent watercolor brings life to each figure, in a casual, unrepeatable way.

    India

The series dedicated to the Aghori explores one of the most enigmatic and controversial traditions of India. Radical followers of the cult of Shiva, the Aghori live on the fringes of society to embrace a spiritual path based on overcoming all duality: pure and impure, life and death, sacred and profane. In my works, I wanted to capture this mystical and visceral tension, transforming it into essential forms and a visual language that reflects their extreme search for inner freedom. The faces, postures, and symbols evoke a journey into the shadow, where the limit becomes revelation and darkness a gateway to the sacred.

    Portraits

My work stems from a reflection on the theme of women as an enigma, inspired by a phrase from Massimo Recalcati: «What does it mean to be a woman?». Through a series of female portraits, I sought to represent the elusive essence of the feminine using the simplest elements — water and carbon — the same ones that make up the human body. The faces come from social media, a place of continuous observation and comparison, where the female gaze seeks other gazes to understand itself. It is a search for identity, projection, and the construction of the self-image through the other.

    Black

Portraying a person means interpreting them, eluding the conventions of drawing to create different forms. A pictorial drawing and a graphic painting, apparently irreconcilable, are the beginning of a personal research, in search of a new impossible path. From here comes Black. I portrayed friends, feelings and their inner selves, using different styles in the same gesture. A special thanks to all those who lent themselves.
