The artist is a mere spectator; the situation is reversed—the model is the creator, and the artist interprets the 'selfie' offered to him. In a society in which the feminine struggles to exist (and to be represented) by escaping patriarchal domination, the 'selfie,' from this perspective, is the tool for a full and independent feminist expression.
