The Silence of the Peonies

"The Silence of the Peonies" is a work dedicated to the beauty and elegance of flowers. The peonies, protagonists of the composition, emerge with their intense tones of red, burgundy and purple, creating a delicate contrast with the vase and the small white flowers. The soft light entering from the window helps to create an intimate and silent atmosphere. Through this work I have sought to express the charm of the flowers and that sense of serenity I feel when I observe and paint them.

The piece arises from my great passion for flowers, which has long been a source of inspiration for my painting. The composition takes inspiration from a reference image found on Pinterest, which impressed me with its chromatic intensity and the elegance of the peonies. I chose to reinterpret it through oil painting, translating onto the canvas my personal sensitivity to color, light, and floral details.
