We No Longer Know depicts a group of figures sharing the same space while remaining strangely disconnected. Their gestures suggest hesitation, as if each were guided by a different inner perception of reality. Rather than portraying stable identities, the painting reveals the self as something unstable and relational, shaped by appearances, projections and the silent influence of others. In this suspended moment of collective uncertainty, identity emerges as a fragile construction, constantly shifting between what we are and what we appear to be.
